We’re dedicated to creating the best possible learning experience for you. That is why we’re excited to announce the rollout of the new learner experience, enabling your learners to explore our enhanced UI. This new interface is now visible across all Learnifier instances, intending to make it the sole experience by the end of March.
What is a BETA, and what does it cover?
The new learner experience toggle previews our upcoming Learner UI before it fully replaces the current interface. This release allows you and your learners to familiarize yourselves with updates to the user interface and flow, introducing a fresh, streamlined learning experience and enriched course details. While the current learner interface and the new one will coexist during this beta period, this will evolve as we approach the full rollout. The beta phase of the new Learner UI means ongoing adjustments as we prepare to make this the default experience in Learnifier. Until then, learners can easily switch between the old and new interfaces.
So, What's New?
Updated layout and navigation: A modern, intuitive design with simplified navigation for a smoother, more enjoyable user experience.
Improved accessibility: Designed to be more inclusive and compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), ensuring that learning is accessible to all.
Enhanced course info and completion pages: A redesigned course info page offers clearer, more accessible information. Additional course details in the catalog improve course discovery, while awards are now displayed on both the new course completion page and in settings.
Streamlined learning flow: Features like a collapsible stepper and more intuitive resource placement make navigating courses simpler and more logical.
These updates aim to create a more user-friendly and efficient platform.
Our approach to collecting and applying your feedback
As we roll out the new learner interface, we’re committed to gathering and thoughtfully applying your feedback to drive meaningful improvements.
Here’s how we’re approaching it:
Collecting comprehensive feedback: We’ll gather insights from various sources including NPS surveys available with the new toggle, direct interviews and usage data to capture a complete picture of your experience.
Identifying key themes: By focusing on recurring themes in the feedback, we prioritize updates that enhance usability and benefit a wide range of users, rather than addressing isolated preferences.
Supporting your transition: We understand that adapting to a new UI takes time, so we’re tracking feedback trends over time to identify impactful patterns as you adjust.
Focusing on high-value enhancements: Once clear themes emerge, we’ll prioritize improvements that align with our vision and provide the most value to our users.
Keeping you informed: We’ll share updates on how your feedback drives changes, ensuring a transparent and data-driven approach to a continually improving experience.
This strategy allows us to stay focused on what matters most to our users while staying true to our product vision.
What to keep in mind when transitioning to the New Interface
When switching to the new learner UI there will be no loss of functionality. However, there are a few key areas for administrators to consider to ensure a smooth transition:
Review any current HTML customizations to ensure they align with the new layout and design. This will help avoid any unexpected changes in the look and feel of your courses.
The new interface includes updated styling and component structures, so check any CSS adjustments to confirm they work seamlessly in the refreshed interface.
Thank you for being a part of our learning community. We’re eager to see how your input and that of your learners help us create an even better learning experience for all!
Happy learning!
